We set up JJ's Dog Yard Daycare & Boarding in 2021 to provide an incredible experience for animals and owners. From small beginnings, we’ve added a range of services, making us the premier Dog Boarding location in North Port, Florida. Each client is different and we know that certain circumstances can demand a need that is outside of our normal services or hours of operation. We try our best to work together to come up with a plan of care that will fit your individual needs to the best of our ability. We take all things into consideration, which has allowed us to expand our market by providing in-home visits for clients that have no other options. Our services include: Half/Full Daycare, Overnight Boarding, In-Home Visits (depending on location). In addition, we sell homemade all natural organic doggie treats that we personally make!
Our boarding services provide a range free small intimate setting that allows your dog to remain safe and comfortable for the duration of their stay. You wont have to worry about them being left alone for 12 hours at a time, scared and inside a small cube. No more worries of how are they doing and are they okay! At JJ's Dog Yard, you will be sent pictures/videos daily of your dog. You will have open communication while they stay with us and you will have peace of mind knowing they are having a vacation while staying with us. Your dog will have outside activities safely secured inside a fenced in yard, with an abundance of room to explore freely, run when they get the zoomies, and play with provided toys. (We are proud to announce that we have purchases additional land, to expand your dogs experience! This is anticipated to be in fruition by summer 2023!)
Depending on the weather: If it is hot outside, we might have a water day and allow your dog to run around in a sprinkler to cool off. If it is cold outside, we might light a fire to stay warm while we snuggle with them under the stars. Your dog will be treated like family when they stay with us! They are allowed on our furniture, allowed to sleep in our bed, and they will even have a king sized mattress of their own on the floor of the living room where they can watch cartoons while they relax. We also play classical music, which can help relax them when they are feeling stressed or anxious. In addition, we make homemade all natural dog treats! These are sold separately, but will be provided to your pup for free while they stay with us. While we’re proud of our fun and easygoing attitude, our commitment to the safety and security of your pet guides everything we do.

Jennifer & Julian
We’re Crazy About Animals!
Jennifer and Julian are a local couple who met while employed with a local Law Enforcement agency for the state of Florida, who later married and settled in North Port, FL. They were thrilled to discover they share similar passions, such as their love for animals.
In 2021, while actively working in local Law Enforcement, decided to combine one of their passions with helping the community in providing excellent dog care. While conducting extensive research, Jennifer & Julian quickly discovered the high demand for primer dog care in the local area. Thus, JJ's Dog Yard was born! They are proud to share that within the first year of being opened and operating at part-time for taking new business, they received a copious amount of inquiries and continued to maintain a steady influx of new clientele. The success was so significant, it aided in the decision to take a leap of faith to retire their careers in Law Enforcement to focus on the success of this business.
JJ's Dog Yard Daycare & Boarding, LLC is a licensed business with the State of Florida. Jennifer & Julian know how hard it is to find a trusting place to keep your fur babies, and they wanted to create a safe environment to have you feel comfortable while you are away.
Jennifer dedicated 5 years to her agency, where she retired as a Lieutenant for the State of Florida. She holds her B.A. Degree from UCF in Criminal Justice, in addition to a certificate in Criminal Profiling. Her passions include: cooking, traveling, going to church, spending time with animals of all kinds, spending time with her husband, and singing.
Julian dedicated 6 years to his agency, where he retired as a Sergeant for the State of Florida. Julian has successfully completed 3 certification programs at SCF in cyber security. Julian is also a certified mechanic, to which he enjoys working on anything with a motor. His passions include: testing out new restaurants, traveling, fishing, movies, spending time with animals, anime, anything related to cars, and making his wife happy.

TERMS & CONDITIONS
~Reservation Cancellation Policy~
​
Our boarding facility has limited space, as we are a free range service based out of our home. It should be noted that we are especially limited during high season time when we are frequently at 90 - 100% occupancy. When we are at capacity, the lack of space may force us to turn away some clients for daycare/boarding services.
When clients pick up their dogs early, cancel reservations, or change reservations without an appropriate amount of notice (at minimum 24 hours), it is frequently too late for us to fill the vacant space that we reserved for them because the clients that we turned away have already made other arrangements. This causes us to lose a tremendous amount of income because that spot is then left vacant. Due to the loss of revenue as a result of no shows, untimely cancellations, schedule changes, and early pick ups, we have implemented the following cancellation policies.

~General Cancellation Policy~
​
ALL CANCELED RESERVATIONS MUST BE PAID IN FULL OVER THE PHONE/ VIA ELECTRONIC PAYMENT OR CASH IN PERSON TO CLEAR A HOLD ON THEIR ACCOUNT.
​
We require a 24 hour notice for cancellations or reservation schedule changes. When we are unable to re-book the space that is reserved for your dog due to lack of notice we will charge a $25.00 cancellation fee for each spot reserved or if the reservation is over 3 days there will be a charge of 50% of the stay. (This payment will be due the date service was supposed to be rendered by 5:00pm.) Clients that fail to provide us with at least a 24 hour notice for early pick up, cancelation, or change of reservation will be charged for the whole day of the scheduled reservation check-out day.
Holiday/Summer Cancellation Policy
ALL CANCELED RESERVATIONS MUST BE PAID OVER THE PHONE/ VIA ELECTRONIC PAYMENT OR CASH IN PERSON TO CLEAR A HOLD ON THEIR ACCOUNT.

If the client fails to follow through with the reservation made for any holiday or holiday weekend stay with at least a 72 HOURS NOTICE, the client will be charged for the ENTIRE STAY RESERVED. THERE ARE NO EXCEPTIONS.

Holiday/Summer Early Pick ups or Reservation Changes
​
Clients who reserve a spot for holidays that do not provide us with a 48 hour notice for early pick ups will be charged for the entire scheduled stay. Also, clients who have to change their reservation times without providing us with a 48 hour notice will be charged for the entire reserved time for any days that the spot remains vacant. THERE ARE NO EXCEPTIONS.

~LAST MINUTE CHANGE OF DATES DURING SERVICE WHILE PET IS IN OUR CARE~
​
If you request to pick up your pet up early, cancelling service sooner than scheduled, the full payment is still required for scheduled dates of service. While we cannot hold your pet from you, it is not JJ's Dog Yard Daycare & Boarding's fault for the change in service. If you request to extend dates of service or did not get prior approval for extended dates, an additional fee of $50 will be assessed in addition to cost of each night of additional service. If your request puts JJ's Dog Yard Daycare & Boarding, LLC over capacity, you will be charged an additional $25/ pet per night. However, should an issue arise for overcrowding, you will need to schedule an emergency contact to pick up your pet/s immediately. (Should this occur due to unforeseen circumstances - natural disaster, death, flight delays, etc. JJ's Dog Yard Daycare & Boarding, LLC will review to possibly exempt additional inquired fees.)

~NO CALL NO SHOWS~
​
If a client schedules a service for daycare and fails to show up for the scheduled service without notice, this will be considered a no call no show. Due to the lack of communication and holding of spot for service, we will charge a $25.00 no call no show fee for each spot reserved. (This payment will be due the date service was supposed to be rendered by 5:00pm) We understand unexpected things can happen, which is why we will allow this to happen up to 2 times as a curtesy, with the fee being applied. After the 3rd occurrence, JJ's Dog Yard has the right to no longer offer their services and will removed you from their active client list. THERE ARE NO EXCEPTIONS.
(Client will be contacted via text to document the no call no show, and the payment for no call no show will be due by 5:00pm that day. If this is not paid in full the day of no show, no additional services will be offered until pay and a $5.00 fee will be assessed daily until paid in full. If you have any additional services booked, you will be removed from the schedule and might not be able to rebook due to the possibility of limited availability.)

​We are very sorry that it has become necessary to implement such a strict cancellation policy; however, we cannot continue to encounter loss of revenue do to untimely cancellations, early pick ups, and reservation schedule changes.
Terms & Conditions:
• JJ's Dog Yard Daycare & Boarding, LLC strives to treat all dogs with respect and kindness and for that reason does not agree to utilize force or intimidation with your pet at any time and for any reason. Should you feel that your pet is not able to be handled without such, we recommend seeking a trainer before using our services.
• Client is responsible for informing JJ's Dog Yard Daycare & Boarding, LLC of any aggression or behavioral concerns your pet has towards other people or other animals. This should be discussed before services begin. We cannot take animals with aggression towards humans or other animals in the home, due to the risk of injury to our staff. We recommend seeking a trainer before using our services. Aggression towards animals outside of the home may be dealt with on a case-by-case basis; provided that Client has an affirmative duty to disclose all knowledge of such tendencies to JJ's Dog Yard Daycare & Boarding, LLC.
• JJ's Dog Yard Daycare & Boarding, LLC cannot be held responsible or liable for animal behavior resulting in injury to the Client's animals. Further, if JJ's Dog Yard Daycare & Boarding, LLC is harmed or injured by or as a result of the Client's animals or during the provision of services, the Client/owner accepts full responsibility for the cost of any necessary medical attention and all related damages and liability.
• Your dog must maintain good hygiene, be free of external parasites, and have regularly trimmed nails. (Should it be discovered the pet has external parasites or injury the client will be charged a $25-$50 charge, based on the situation. This must be paid in full before/ at time of pick up)
• JJ's Dog Yard Daycare & Boarding, LLC requires all pets be leashed during their outside walks. JJ's Dog Yard Daycare & Boarding, LLC cannot be held responsible or liable for any resulting events that may occur while on walks, including without limitation if your pet breaks free of the leash or a third party or other animal approaches your pet and JJ's Dog Yard Daycare & Boarding, LLC is unable to prevent the interaction with reasonable efforts.
• It is recommended your dog have a current License/Tag on his or her collar, as well as a rabies tag, and a name tag (with home contact information, in the case of a lost pet). Dog's owner, and not JJ's Dog Yard Daycare & Boarding, LLC, will be liable for any fines incurred if pet is not wearing such identification.
• Owners are to provide properly fitted collars, harnesses, leashes, and coats/boots, if necessary. Owners must also assure that all equipment is in good working order. JJ's Dog Yard Daycare & Boarding, LLC will not be liable for faulty equipment. ABSOLUTLEY NO CHOKER COLLARS/SHOCK COLLARS ARE ALLOWED.
• JJ's Dog Yard Daycare & Boarding, LLC is not responsible for replacing harnesses, leashes, coats, boots, license/name tags, etc. that may get damaged during walks/ playtime.
• JJ's Dog Yard Daycare & Boarding, LLC employees are not trained in veterinary medicine and therefore JJ's Dog Yard Daycare & Boarding, LLC will not be responsible for detecting or diagnosing illness or injury.
• JJ's Dog Yard Daycare & Boarding, LLC will purchase pet food, treats, leashes, or other necessary items that contribute to the health and well-being of your pet while you are absent. However, JJ's Dog Yard Daycare & Boarding, LLC shall not be held liable for any damages or injuries resulting therefrom, including without limitation any items subject to food safety recalls or any undisclosed allergies or tendencies of your pet. This includes client provided food and treats. We will retain a receipt and the pet owner is responsible for reimbursement of these items. An additional $10.00 surcharge will be applied to your invoice for the trip.
• JJ's Dog Yard Daycare & Boarding, LLC reserves the right to deny service or terminate service because of safety concerns, financial issues, failure to comply with policy, inappropriate or uncomfortable circumstances, or without cause. Payment shall remain due for all services rendered through the date of termination.
• JJ's Dog Yard Daycare & Boarding, LLC depends on the information provided in this contract to take care of your pet properly. JJ's Dog Yard Daycare & Boarding, LLC will keep record of all information provided by Client starting from the first meet and greet and all communication will be via text to ensure a properly recorded record of all communication.
• JJ's Dog Yard Daycare & Boarding, LLC will inform you as soon as possible under the circumstances of any known serious occurrence such as illness, dog fights, or strange behavior by phone and by email. If JJ's Dog Yard Daycare & Boarding, LLC is not able to contact you in the case of emergency, please see the Emergency Procedure below.

Home Visits:
• JJ's Dog Yard Daycare & Boarding, LLC will dispose of any waste as instructed by the Client. We ask that you provide plastic bags and instructions on where to dispose. JJ's Dog Yard Daycare & Boarding, LLC can provide waste bags if necessary. Yards must be kept free of waste by client prior to services with JJ's Dog Yard Daycare & Boarding, LLC. Staff will keep yard free of waste while client is away.
• JJ's Dog Yard Daycare & Boarding, LLC will not walk dogs on choke chains, prong collars, or any other form of aversive training collar. And, for safety reasons, no quick-release leashes will be used. Should your dog walk on a quick release leash, JJ's Dog Yard Daycare & Boarding, LLC will provide a leash. JJ's Dog Yard Daycare & Boarding, LLC will not use Client provided shock collars or similar devices during services.
• If walks are requested, your dog will be provided with a walk for mental and physical stimulation.
• The duration of walks will be pre-determined and agreed upon by the Client and JJ's Dog Yard Daycare & Boarding, LLC prior to the service being completed.
• If your dog shows any signs of fear or discomfort during walks, this will be discussed and evaluated as soon as possible to try to understand the reason and adjust the walk if needed.
• JJ's Dog Yard Daycare & Boarding, LLC cannot be held liable or responsible for any animals that get injured or escape when instructed to walk them off-leash in the Client's fenced-in yard (for example, but not limited to, resulting from holes under fence, damaged fence, broken parts, broken latch, climbing animals, etc.)
• JJ's Dog Yard Daycare & Boarding, LLC cannot be held liable or responsible for any animals that get injured or escape when instructed to walk them off-leash in a non-fenced area.
• Your dog must be in good health for walks, especially lengthy walks. During the summer months, dog walks will only be provided in the morning and evening under specific weather conditions. This is due to Florida heat and hot pavement.
• JJ's Dog Yard Daycare & Boarding, LLC will use reasonable efforts to prevent your pets from interacting with anyone else's pets outside of the home. This includes strays, loose animals, other owners walking their dogs, neighbors, etc. However, Client understands, agrees, and acknowledges that it is not always possible to control such factors and as a result assumes all risk and liability associated with your pet while outside of the home on walks or otherwise.
• JJ's Dog Yard Daycare & Boarding, LLC will always clean up after your pets to the best of our ability. Please provide us with all cleaning products you prefer and where they are in the home. If clean up time far extends your pets visit time, you will be charged according to visit time. An additional $10.00-$25.00 surcharge will be applied to your invoice for cleanup/bathing requirements.
• JJ's Dog Yard Daycare & Boarding, LLC will keep all Client keys, access codes, and personal information secure and in safekeeping. Each key will be coded with a number and not labeled with your personal information. It is recommended that you have a key made for JJ's Dog Yard Daycare & Boarding, LLC specifically if you plan to use services frequently. You can request JJ's Dog Yard Daycare & Boarding, LLC copy a key for you and we cover the expense. This prevents multiple trips to pick up keys and guarantees the key does not end up lost or stolen after being left outside. A $5 surcharge per trip will be added to your invoice each time a key requires pick up or drop off.
• A Duplicate key(s) is recommended and will be kept at our home office as a back-up. JJ's Dog Yard Daycare & Boarding, LLC will also return all the above at the end of the contract, or immediately upon request but will not be responsible for any keys the Client has asked to be mailed (and mailing will be at Client's expense).
• At no time will JJ's Dog Yard Daycare & Boarding, LLC enter a property left unlocked or enter with keys left in a mailbox, under the doormat, etc. without the express written consent of the Client. At no time will JJ's Dog Yard Daycare & Boarding, LLC leave premises unlocked or hide keys outside of the premises without the express written consent of the Client. Client is aware of risk of doing so and JJ's Dog Yard Daycare & Boarding, LLC will not be responsible or liable for any damage, crime, injury, such as (but not limited to) unauthorized entry of the home by third parties or stolen personal property; furthermore, JJ's Dog Yard Daycare & Boarding, LLC will not be held liable for any resulting damages or liability and Client assumes all risk related to access to the home in this manner.
• While providing service, at no time will the Client or JJ's Dog Yard Daycare & Boarding, LLC allow access to anyone who is not a permanent resident of the dwelling; it is Client's responsibility to inform JJ's Dog Yard Daycare & Boarding, LLC of all permanent residents of the dwelling. This includes contractors or family members not recognized as permanent residents of the dwelling. Advance notice would be appreciated if any individuals not currently living on the premises will be on site while JJ's Dog Yard Daycare & Boarding, LLC provides service. If there are other persons entering or leaving your home, JJ's Dog Yard Daycare & Boarding, LLC cannot be held liable for any damages or problems that may arise as a result of this. 11/22/2021
